Yeah, once again an old topic...And maybe I'm REALLY slow and maybe ppl already know this or not or.... anyway. I just randomly picked up the last volume of Dragon knights and read thru the ending....
I'm now fairly convinced that Raselene is Cesia's 'mother' and Nadil her 'Father' (in quotes because I kinda doubt it was a normal birth)
Just reading through it, Nadil says he "created" her "in order to completely harness the power of the wind dragon" --> Cesia's wind abilities obviously comes from this. And then right after that quote Birrez says "The Dragon Lord... I remember now...When I came back to take the Dragon Empress..." "You belong to me. You always have." This then references back to volume two when Nadil Kidnapped her. But just thinking about it, Cesia has dragon eyes like the dragon queen, has both dark and light/demon and dragon (I guess) it just makes sense that she was born from Nadil and Raselene. And then going back to volumes 11 or 12... Raselene starts freaking out with the onset of Nadil's revival and then he even summons her with some kinda spell thing.
I think he raped her or something and made cesia from whatever it was he did >.>;....I mean, maybe this was there all along but I kinda felt like it's just been really ambiguous. So it's been more like a "possibility" for me before now. Now I think that's actually a fact o-O;...

I ALWAYS CONSIDERED IT AS A POSSIBILITY.
If anything, I don't think we can really rule it out.

*supports this idea* It makes the most sense, and, like you said, it is suggested at the end of the series that Nadil did something with Raseleane.
The only real counter argument is that in book 12 Nadil summons Raseleane and says that his spell left her barren for the Dragon Lord, but that she'd still be able to bear him (Nadil) a child. If Cesia was the product of his and Raseleane's... um, time together >_> ... then why would Nadil be interested in taking back Raseleane? He already has a child. But, again, it's like you said: Cesia was only created to harness the Wind Dragon's power. Nadil still needed an heir (and son to wed Cesia, lol).
So, Cesia might not have parents in the normal sense, but I agree that she's a product of Nadil's and Raseleane's.
Also, I like how the heroine has a mysterious past. Sure, Rath has his past, but that's explained much earlier in the story-- Cesia's the real mysterious one. I only wish Ohkami had explored this problem earlier. There was that scene where Cesia recalled going off with Zoma to look for her parents... and that would've made for a nice side story, but we never got anything ;_;

yeah I know! And actually at the end Rath's like "Zoma thinks your parents are still out there so you gotta go look for them!" And like... that's it. forever a mystery =_=; And I just went to check vol 12 for that part. I don't think it's that much of a counter argument, but it's still like you said. What he says exactly in english: "She just will never be able to bear the child of the dragon lord. I assure you, she will have no such problem bearing me a son." It was 'son' specific. not 'child' in general. So I would think Nadil KNOWS that she won't have any problems cuz she 'already bore' him a child, hence proof it would work |D. Like... maybe Cesia's the test baby ;... So yeah she could be his container for wind dragon's power and then he could get a son to be his heir.

I always assumed this was meant to be canon, ever since like... book 11 or so was released in the US xD;; Guess that was a while ago.
I think though, Ohkami left it to be ambiguous on purpose. Probably because the characters themselves could never know for sure.

I think she kind of had to leave it ambiguous at the end since the series was coming to a close, and it just would've been a bad idea to toss in a whole new plot point. So much was rushed at the end of the series that there were a lot of different things that were never explained, and I don't think that had so much to do with Ohkami being mysterious as it did with Ohkami being tired and desperate to finish the series.

*revives*
The more I reread the series, the more all of this seems confirmed-- that Cesia is Nadil and Raseleane's daughter, that is. The first major clue is how Raseleane treats Ceasia like she's her daughter and that they both look so much alike; with the exception of Cesia's purple bangs (and Nadil's hair was purple, I think, lol), she's practically Raseleane's clone. Then, in book five, we learn that Cesia has dragon eyes, and Raseleane's dragon eyes had been stolen when Nadil captured her... so... >O> And, as for Nadil, well, Cesia has his power over wind.
o.o So, yeah.... that's about it.

It's either she's their biological daughter...OR. A creation Nadil made, but used bits of Raseleane and himself if that makes any sense rotflmao.
Kind of like DNA splicing. So Nadil could have just implanted both Raseleane's Dragon Eyes and his powers into the doll (which would tie in all those doll references) and yeah.
I'm more inclined for the former, but it's always nice to throw out another alternative 8D

I think she's probably a "creation." There wasn't really any time for Raseleane to be pregnant, was there? But even if Cesia's a creation, she might as well be their biological daughter. The only unexplained bit about Cesia is how she can talk to animals-- remember when Rune sees her talking to the darnas and says that she's like a faerie? That whole bit sort of comes out of nowhere >_>
